NEW NAME, WHO DIS?

Changing my business’s name from Connar Joy Calligraphy to Connar Joy Collective is not like a huge change, I get it. But, there actually is a difference. Connar Joy Calligraphy was a service-based business, rooting solely in calligraphy and hand-lettering services. Connar Joy Collective encompasses a whole lot more than calligraphy. Connar Joy Collective will still have a small part of the custom calligraphy aspect, but more ready-made products, designed with intention. Bonus! I get to keep the CJC acronym.

Here’s the big thing: It’s a blog with a shop, not the other way around!

I feel called to use my voice and that’s what this space is for.

What am I gonna write about? V glad you asked! My faith—meaning what the Lord is teaching me at the moment. And travel. And the Bachelor. And funny things. And new CJC product collections. And the occasional calligraphy job. And my nieces and nephews that I low-key act like are my own 8 children. And just general fun.

Maybe keep your expectations low, but like, it’s gonna be a good time over at the Connar Joy blog.

GUess what?! Tomorrow is the first product launch for Connar Joy Collective!

I knew my first product in 2+ years had to really be something authentic to my brand and my life. Enter these comfy pink + peach sweatshirts.

I’ve got the JOY // Through the past two years of being on a business break, I’ve walked through a lot of hills and valleys but the joy never left. And that’s because joy is not circumstantial when your joy comes from the Lord. Joy is our birthright and our weapon against our enemy. The JOY of the LORD is my strength. Joy is my middle of my name, but it’s also staying smack-dab in the middle of my business’s name as well. The meaning of the word is something so much more special to me after walking through some tough seasons where really all I could rely on is that fact that no matter the pain of the night, the joy will come in the morning. Thankful for this truth and thankful that I’ve got the JOY!

So, let’s celebrate and be reminded of this joy! As the children’s church song says, “I’ve got the joy joy joy joy down in my heart, down in my heart to stay!”
